Gymnema Is A Plant That Can Decrease Appetite

Gymnema sylvsetre is a shrub that is native to Australia, Africa and India.

It has been used in the ancient Indian medicine practice Ayurveda for 1000’s of years.

It has been used as a traditional remedy for diabetes, and malaria.

The herb is thought to inhibit the absorption of sugar.

It has been shown to reduce sugar cravings and lower blood sugar levels. Researchers have shown that it can reduce the ability to taste sweetness and thus make sweet foods less appetizing.

If you are a diabetic on medication, you should consult with your physician before trying.

Gymnema sylvestre is considered safe for most people, but it should not be taken by children, or women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to get pregnant.Want

The Healing Powers of Mushrooms

Ganoderma lucidum mushrooms have more than 2000 years of history. They were reserved for royalty and regarded by the Chinese as the “Miraculous King of Herbs.”
Ganoderma lucidum has been recognized by practitioners of traditional Asian medicine as the highest ranked of all herbs found in the Chinese pharmacopoeia. The Chinese name for Ganoderma, Lingzhi, means spiritual potency,” while the Japanese name Reishi, can be translated as the “King of… Herbs.”
Dr, Shi-Jean Lee – the most renowned doctor of the Ming Dynasty – strongly endorsed the effectiveness of Ganoderma. He wrote that “long-term taking of Ganoderma will build strong, healthy body and assure a long life.”

Ganoderma is the worlds most researched medicinal mushroom, with benefits that include:
– supporting immune system cell growth
– promoting balance, i.e. boost energy if needed or promote calm if needed
– blocks inflammation
– encourages deeper sleep
– improves focus
– promotes clearer skin
– enhancing detoxification.

Lookfor a reputable company to purchase and try it. I am using the coffee and tea infused with Ganoderma from the company Organo Gold. The coffee and tea taste great and give me the added healing benefits of organic Ganodrema.

How does lack of nutrients Affect Your Mood?

As you can imagine diet and nutrition can have a huge impact on our moods and our well being.
We truly are what we eat or don’t eat. For instance water soluble B vitamins are very important for our brain and overall health. Water soluble means we urinate them out, so they need to be replaced often. In todays society with most of us being overweight, over stressed and fatigued and eating poorly – we turn to our doctors for help. Unfortunately a lot of Drs. prescribe prescription meds with out looking for the root cause of the illness.
For instance proton pump inhibitors – such as Nexium, Prilosec etc. These are often prescribed for heart burn. No specific work up is done to look for the cause and then the patient is put on a medication that is now possibly increasing our risk of dementia, osteoporosis and bowel infections.
One reason we believe these meds may contribute to dementia – is that they suppress stomach acid, which blocks the absorption of B12 from our foods.
B12 in particular – is needed to make red blood cells, and is used in the production of the lining of nerve cells. B12 works to protect the brain, and nervous system. It regulates rest and mood cycles and keeps our immune system functioning properly.
Severe B12 deficiencies can lead to depression, memory loss and paranoia, as well as possible brain shrinkage and dementia.
Please talk to your Dr. or even better – a functional medicine practitioner about better ways to treat heart burn and improve your mood.
